Enhanced Tissue Profusion
Massage increases Tissue Profusion and Permeability. Tissue Profusion is the ability of bodily fluids (including blood and lymph) to exchange between tissue and organs and the bodily fluids flow through the vessels. Increased Tissue Profusion results in faster and more efficient removal of lactic acid and other metabolic wastes as well as the introduction of nutrient filled oxygenated blood which will improve on muscle recovery, decrease muscle injury, fatigue and improve overall performance.
Tissue manipulation from massage increases nutrient and blood flow throughout the blood vessels and lymph vessels. With that flow of blood comes newly oxygenated and nutrient and energy filled blood along with the removal of metabolic wastes resulting in the optimal environment for muscle performance involving flexibility, strength, neural activation, stamina and overall performance.
Enhanced Tissue Elasticity
Massage improves Tissue Elasticity. Massage increases muscle flexibility by stretching the muscle fibers lengthwise, reducing excess muscle tension and pressure. Intense physical training and exercise will result in tissue hardening which results in a plateau effect in performance. Tissue hardening will decrease flexibility increasing the chances for injury. For athletes and other active individuals, massage reduces the negative effects of intense workouts and exercise to create the optimal environment for physical performance.
Here is a list of stimulants that physiologically or emotionally impair building a strong Nerve Force and are recommended to, especially within two hours of bedtime Avoid:
